Join the Center for Business and Economic Insight for the Central Wisconsin Spring 2024 Report featuring Sentry School of Business and Economics faculty Scott Wallace and Kevin Bahr, along with a special presentation A Quick Trip Around the GLOBE: Recognizing Important Differences in Culture to Better Understand Yourself and Others by Professor Jim Servi, Ph.D.

Jim Servi is an assistant professor of management in the Sentry School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He holds a B.S. from Michigan Technological University, an MBA from UW-Oshkosh, and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. His research focuses on the intersection of leadership and culture. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves and has served around the world in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, South Korea, Europe and the Pacific.

The event is back on campus in the Dreyfus University Center Alumni Room on Friday, May 10 from 7-9 a.m., starting with networking and continental breakfast.

The UW-Stevens Point Center for Business and Economic Insight (CBEI) promotes regional economic and community development through the provision of business and economic knowledge to local business, governmental, and community leaders. The primary areas of focus are Portage, Marathon and Wood counties. The CBEI represents a recent outgrowth of the Central Wisconsin Economic Research Bureau (CWERB) which was founded in 1983. In addition to economic analysis, the CBEI will seeks to foster prosperity by being a source of applied business knowledge for our regional constituents. The CBEI is a non-profit organization whose operating budget comes from the UWSP School of Business and Economics.
